The Star Inn Public House is situated in the picturesque village of Nafferton in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It is a friendly family run business.

Situated in the rear car park/courtyard are Five, 3* chalets. All have their own private entrance, LCDTV’S, coffee/tea making facilities, hair dryer and en suite shower rooms with complimentary toiletries. The rear courtyard has a public entrance to the main building, and has an outdoor seating area and also a covered seating area. The chalets are situated on the far side of the car park away from the main building.

A full English breakfast is served in the restaurant which is located in the main pub building across the courtyard.

An extensive menu offers many traditional pub favourites along with a full Greek menu of dishes chosen by Spiros the resident chef. On Sundays a traditional roast is served using all locally sourced produce.

During the week The Star Inn’s darts,pool and domino teams meet to play their league games, all of them willing to give you a game!

Free Wi-Fi is accessible in public areas and guests can relax with a drink or enjoy a game of pool or darts in the bar area.

The village shop/post office is a 5-minute walk and the market town of Driffield only a 5-minute drive away.

The seaside resorts of Bridlington, Whitby and Scarborough are all within easy driving distance. The North Yorks Moors Railway is a 50 min drive with stops between Whitby and Pickering with many scenic walks available in the area.

The Cities of Hull and York are 40 minutes away for those of you looking for culture,history or shopping.

So if its that short coastal or country break your looking for The Star Inn is the perfect choice!

Lynne J Kardamis Born 1962 In Whitby North Yorkshire. Spent early childhood in Singapore before returning to UK in 1971 to Glaisdale, a small village in the heart of the North Yorkshire moors. In 1981 travelled overseas again to the beautiful island of Corfu.I spent 26 years living on the island working in all areas of tourism the last 8 years being with Thomas Cook. Spiros Leivadiotis Born 1967 . In Stuttgart Germany. Lived and studied in Athens and Patras (Hotel and Catering management) till 1993. From 1995 Spiros also spent many years working in the tourist industry from a chef to tour guide. Finally working at Corfu airport in as an airline supervisor for many international airlines including Thomas Cook, Air Berlin LTU to name just a few. In November of 2009 we both returned UK We knew we wanted to do something that would let Spiros share his Greek origins and most importantly his true passion of cooking with others,may be a restaurant or take away but not sure exactly what. We came across The Star Inn when we moved in to the village December 2009 considered the idea for a while, jumped in with both feet and opened for trading in June 2010.
